It’s a jazz thing
Straight up.. American jazz music has changed my life in a profound way.. jazz cats in the 60s and 70s were creating a type of music that transcends time and space, a movement in music that can never be repeated.. From the first time I heard Kind of Blue.. that was Miles beyond.. in the lab studyin jazz breaks, chemistry, Kerouac, improv, Diz, Bird, new ideas, eastern philosophies.. Miles away.. at the record store digesting all the Jimmy Smith albums I could find.. Learnin from NYC hip hop pioneers Dig Planets, Tribe, “and last but not least the Zulu Nation.” Cannot stop spinnin’ those Monk riffs, the spiritual awakening of Trane’s Afro Blue, walkin down blocks with Herbie Hancock in my headphones.. noddin to Sun Ra, Fela and Madlib.. J Dilla forever.. Peace to jazz heads and all people who love American jazz and hip hop.

Feeling this blog, looking forward to old/new sounds and Dilla forever.
